Everyone starts somewhere, and your status reflects how much you've verified about yourself.
PROTOS New Members
A PROTO is anyone who just joined VIYU and hasn't gone through identity verification yet. You can explore the platform, set up your profile, and get a feel for things. You're limited to 3 posts per week (posts and other content) until you verify, because we need to make sure you're a real person and someone who isn't a threat to the community.
V-1 Verified Humans
V-1 is your verified status — earned by passing identity verification through Stripe Identity. It's not a subscription; it's proof that you're a real, confirmed human. Once verified, you get:
- ✓ Unlimited posting
- ✓ Access to verified-only topic spaces
- ✓ Custom verification badge color
V-1 members are the backbone of the community. Every one of them is a real, confirmed human.
V-0 Flagged or Removed Accounts
V-0 refers to accounts that have been flagged as bots, fake profiles, or rule-breakers. These are accounts that failed verification, were confirmed as automated, or were removed for violating our community rules. V-0 accounts are not active members of VIYU. They're the accounts we keep out so that the rest of the community stays clean.
How We Keep Things Safe
Every New Account Is Reviewed by a Sentinel
Before an account can post, a trained human Sentinel reviews it to confirm it belongs to a real person and follows our guidelines.
Strikes and Consequences
If you break the rules, here's what happens:
Warning Strike. The offending post or content is removed, and you receive a formal warning.
Temporary Suspension. Your account is paused. You cannot post or interact while we review.
Permanent Ban. Your account is removed. If you were a verified member, your verification fee is forfeited. This is permanent.
Certain violations may result in immediate account suspension or permanent removal without prior warning, including but not limited to:
- Child sexual abuse material or exploitation.
- Credible threats of violence.
- Terrorism or extremist content.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery.
- Serious impersonation or identity fraud.
- Copyright infringement (particularly repeated or willful violations).
- Confirmed bot networks or coordinated platform abuse.
- Other unlawful or egregious violations of VIYU's policies.
Where appropriate, VIYU may preserve relevant information and cooperate with law enforcement or other appropriate authorities when required by law or when necessary to investigate or address unlawful activity.
